Yoga Class Descriptions

Slow & Stretchy

• All Levels •
The name says it all... Slow, deliberate movements that invite a welcome stretch to the body. The postures will be held for several breaths, allowing the body to settle into the experience. Whether you are looking for a deep stretch, or a subtle stretch, the choice is always yours and this class will offer you exactly what you need.

Yin

• All Levels •
Yin Yoga focuses on passive, seated postures that target the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues - ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia – rather than the muscles. Connective tissue responds best to a slow, steady load. Yin Yoga poses are held for a minimum of 3 minutes each. This gives the ligaments the time they need in order to reap the benefits, which over time can lead to better flexibility, pain reduction in the lower back, hips, pelvis, knees and an overall feeling of relaxation and focus.

Yin + Slow & Stretchy

• All Levels •
This combination class blends the benefits of Yin Yoga with Slow & Stretchy movements. 
Each class begins with Yin Yoga while the muscles are still 'cold' and finishes off with slow, deliberate movements.

Restorative

• All Levels •
Restorative Yoga is designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. This practice is a form of yoga that focuses on physical and mental relaxation through poses aided by props. The props are used to support the body so that you can hold poses for longer, allowing you to open your body through passive stretching.

Slow & Steady

• All Levels •
Moving slowly in our yoga practice sometimes means getting deeper into a stretch, and sometimes means taking time to move our body deliberately and with intention. The Slow & Steady class allows time to settle into a pose, and to spend time enjoying the feel of a pose before moving to the next. Building more strength, flexibility, steadiness and focus in mind, body and spirit. This class will help you feel stronger, more stable and grounded and continue to offer the sense of overall peace and calm that so many students come to their yoga practice for.

All Levels Variety Hour

• All Levels •
Have fun in this sometimes flowing, sometimes balancing, sometimes at the wall, sometimes moving around the mat practice. You know what they say: 'Variety is the spice of life!'

Flow with Teacher

• Advanced Beginners to Intermediate Levels •
This is the perfect class for those looking to evolve their yoga practice by adding a more steadily moving and strong class.
Feel energized, positively challenged, encouraged, inspired and strong.
*Students attending this class are encouraged to be familiar with the pose names and comfortable with the safety of their own alignment and practice. If you are unsure whether this class is a good fit for you and your practice, just ask!*
